28th October 2010 – School Staffing delighted over Quality Mark award

School Staffing are delighted to announce that we have reached an outstanding milestone over half-term by being awarded the prestigious Quality Mark for supply and education recruitment agencies.

This highly sought-after award is a demonstration of our commitment to safer recruiting and confirms our belief that schools and teachers deserve high quality agencies, and this scheme also helps both schools and teachers have more confidence about the agencies they use. It gives increased confidence to schools, parents and pupils that staff supplied through School Staffing are recruited properly and have ongoing support. For us it provides both assurance and official recognition that the highest standards of recruitment practice are being adhered to; and all our teachers – both present and future, will be confident that they have selected an accredited and reputable service that will add value to their experience as supply teachers. Any inspection in any establishment always makes one nervous, especially in this case as we were so committed to achieving this superb recognition. We need not have worried though as the assessor not only gave us a mark of 100%, but also stated that she thought that School Staffing was “outstanding”, and that she “could find no fault whatsoever.” She had no hesitation in awarding us The Quality Mark and went on to commend our professional approach and the sophistication of our internal systems.

Nicola Howley, Chief Compliance Officer, who had led the School Staffing team on its way to this award said that she was “extremely proud of the achievement, especially as we are a relatively young company.” Nicola also went on to say, “This award clearly shows that we take our role in providing schools with the right supply teachers very seriously and that any school who deals with us can have absolute confidence in us and our staff.”

Jamie Hassall, Director, was the first to hear the news at the end of the audit and whilst he admitted to being a little surprised at receiving the news so quickly, he went on to say, “I never really had any doubts at all as the team that we have working here have put everything into achieving this outstanding award. We want to do things the right way and our own standards are so high anyway that in spite of the obvious nerves, today’s audit was in the end a formality. A mark of 100% backs that up, and we now can move forward and deliver on our guarantees to our schools that School Staffing will only provide them with the best teachers for their students.”

School Staffing wish to share this good news with all of their partnership schools and supply teachers and to also add a massive ‘Thank You’ for all of your continued support over the past 18 months. Without you all we wouldn’t have had the success that we have.
